This is Steatoda grossa, AKA the cupboard spider & one of the false widow species. It is not the noble false widow (Steatoda nobilis) which is the target of the current media frenzy.
These spiders are usually very shy & quite docile, if the thought of it being in the house bothers you, just put it outside. They have been implicated in bites, but their behaviour makes this very unlikely indeed.
I occasionally find males wandering around my flat, as long as they are not in the bedroom, they don't bother me.
