Is this a False Widow?

Found today (31st Oct 2013) outside on my external wall, we live in Hampshire. For scale it is on a house brick with about a 10mm mortar joint which you can clearly see.

Yes, this is Steatoda nobilis. They can often be found in cracks in brickwork, under sills & around window frames...anywhere where they have some cover. They're perfectly able to survive outside, so if they have a hiding place & a web to hang out in, they are unlikely to try to get indoors. Unless driven off by outside forces, they tend to stick close to home & not wander far (a few inches, rather than whole feet/yards).
