What sort of spider is this?

Hiya,

We have a fair few of these spiders on our windows and would like to know what they are if anyone has any idea!?

I think this must be a light coloured specimen of Nuctenea umbratica the walnut orb weaver. They're usually much darker than this but you do see light ones occasionally, like this one -

When you say you have a fair few, are you sure they're all the same species and, if so, are they all this colour?

It's definitely not a false widow. It's sitting in an orb web and false widows don't build orb webs. N. umbratica is a fairly common species although around houses / gardens it tends to be outnumbered by Zygiella (which are somewhat smaller) which is partly why I asked if they're all the same species.
