Is this a False Widow Spider?

Found this in a corner of a window in the kitchen, been there for a couple of days I think!

Edit: Even though the thread header says "assumed answered" I have not had an answer

    Hi Pio,

Yes, this is Steatoda nobilis. As long as she is not disturbed & has cover, she will probably remain in her web at the window. They are home-bodies really and don't tend to wander around. It's males that are often found in awkward places when roaming around looking for mates.

If she bothers you just put her outside, she'll be just as happy out there.

    Regards, Mark.

        Hi Pio,

It's possible that the spider in question has recently moulted and what you can see is its old "skin"? Creatures consumed by the spider are usually encased in silk & not easily recognised.

        Regards, Mark.
