I nearly walked head-first into this on Saturday!

Hi,

I just about spotted some slimey transparent egg cases/coccoons/not-sures in a wood in Essex on Saturday before I walked into it!

They had been laid on the end of a beech leaf at head height and seem to be full of larvae so the original inhabitant may have been parasitised.

Can anyone tell me what they are?

Thanks,

Simon
