ID Tooth fragment / Bone Fossil?

First time posting. First time fossil-hunting in fact

 

Fossil found on the beach at Charmouth. Appreciate any advice!

    I think it's a brachiopod or another fossil shell.

    Hello JulesG

    As Dan suggested you have another fossil shell called a Bi-Valve, similar to mussels and clams with two equal halves.

    What is interesting about yours is it is preserved in a mineral called Iron Pyrites and if you look closer were you found it I think you will find Pyritic Ammonites that may need polishing but will come up realy shiny.
