False Widow?

Hi,

Yesterday I found this spider on the side of my bucket in my shed.  It had some familiar markings associated with a false widow,

But the markings have not come out well on the picture.

My question is in regards to, if it is a false Widow spider. It was about 1.5cm leg to leg width approx.

kind Regards,

Andy.

    Re: False Widow?

It's an Amaurobius - I wouldn't like to say which species, but definitely not a false widow.. They're very common around houses and in gardens, often making retreats under stones, plant pots etc. or in holes in walls, and making lace-like webs around the retreat.
