Help ID'ing unknown Red Crag fossil, Sponge? Shell?

Found at Walton-on-the-Naze the other day and I have no idea what it is! Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi Dollar,

Tentatively, the top photograph shows coiling suggestive of a gastropod. The lower photograph seems to me to be the anterior part - the inhalent siphon of a gastropod. The specimen looks as if it has been heavily bored, probably by a sponge.

If it is a gastropod - it is one of the elongate variety.

    Hope this starts the discussion?

    Fiona
