Can anyone identify this spider?

I know the picture quality isn't great, but I saw this spider plus several others like it (the others appeared to be babies) on the fence of my daughters school. I could only take a quick picture due to the fact I was stood outside a school and because the spider had come down to its web after I'd blown on it then quickly disappeared up again.

I would just like peace of mind after hearing the rumours of the false widow spider, and would like to know if I should inform the school of my finding or if it's safe where it is, as yes, the children do climb up against this fence.

Thanks in advance

Don't worry. It's built an orb web, which false widows don't build. I'm not sure what it is but from the underside markings and the general proportions I'd guess it's a Zygiella x-notata, a common native species.
