I've had two large spiders in my flat over the past two nights and cannot identify them myself.
Normally this would not bother me but as my sister was in the US for the past 3 months and stayed with us when she returned it is a small possibility that the spiders came from her luggage so was hoping to get these identified.
Spider A - This spider had no visible markings and was dark brown in colour.
Spider B - This spider has some light coloured markings on its back as seen in the photos.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I agree with hjw, spider B is Steatoda nobilis. Probably not carried here from the US in luggage, as it seems to only be established on this side of the Atlantic.
Spider A - I'm afraid the photos aren't good enough to ID this spider, any chance of any more pics please?
It's starting to look like Spider B is definitely Steatoda Nobilis. Unfortunately I don't have any other pictures of Spider A. I only took the more detailed ones of Spider B as after seeing the second one I decided I wanted to find out what type they were.
