Do I need to be concerned about this spider?!

This is on my window outside, with smaller babies. Do I need to be concerned? It's around an inch or a bit more in size. Thanks.

    Hi Katie1308,

She is a regular 'garden spider' (Araneus diadematus), though they can often be found indoors, on/close to windows & doors.

They look a bit wild, but will flee or play dead (drop on a line of thread & curl into a ball) if you confront them. I had a few that wintered indoors, in my flat. Adult females tend to stay in one spot.

    Regards, Mark.
