Nibbled plant

Does anyone have a clue as to what insect might have chewed a hole in this seed pod? I couldn't see the culprit and am curious to find out!

If, as I suspect, this is the seed head of a species of campion or catchfly, then it might be evidence of feeding by a caterpillar of one of a group of moths in the genus Hadena, such as the Campion  H.rivularis, the Lychnis H.bicruris or the Tawny Shears H.perplexa
