Thanks very much for that. I had looked at photos of Ichneumonoidea, but they all seemed to have some sort of protusion at the end of the body - like a long sting - and this one doesn't. You have been very helpful.
I'm glad to be helpful, Hymenoptera is not my speciality but I know some species of Ichneumonidae. Yes, many of them have the "protusion at the end of the body", it's the ovopositor (only in the females) :-)
