I have exhausted every avenue in identifying this skull myself. Typing in it's description has bore no results. This skull was found by Guntersville Lake in Guntersville, Alabama. Initially I presumed it was the skull of a frog, however, due to the lack of feedback, I'm sure I am incorrect. Please help! My curiosity is killing me.
The only examples of teeth arranged anything like this I've found belong to large fish although I can't seem to narrow it down to a particular species. I looked at the Sheepshead Fish but it has big teeth at the front and there are small fang-like teeth on your photo. I hope this helps if only a little and helps you to narrow it down! I'd be interested to know what it is you've found!
I think you are very close, if not spot on, with sheephead (Drum) fish. If you look at this photo
you will see that the big teeth which are normally at the front have fallen off leaving the small fang like teeth as on the specimen here.
