I'm still trying to get dimensions and a better image, but I think that's dead on. I don't know how you guys do that.
I'll post again if I get better information but thank you so much. You rock!
wow that is very cool.
I really do think it is from an oreodont.
(I'm not sure if those are inches or cm, but it seems maybe a little bit larger then your skull)
here's a close up of it's teeth.
the shape, size and location seems right.
I believe it is an oreodont.
(Unfortunately I am not a proffesional, so I cannot guarantee that it is.)
I hope this helps!
The scale doesn't seem to be too far off. The tape measurer in this latest photo is in inches.
Oh I don't expect you to make a gaurentee. If if makes you feel any better I ran these same pictures accross an American group and they just came back with the same thing: Oreodont. They didn't provide images as you have though. That helps alot.
Thanks again so much for your help!
oh good! I'm glad I could help!
What group was it? (if you don't mind me asking)
I would like to be able to get help identifying some of my own unidentified skulls, but by someone a little closer to canada since the species in america and europe are pretty different..
