It would have been easier if the forewing was visible, but based on the photo I'm pretty sure it is the Heath fritilllary Melitaea athalia,
wait a few of minutes and I'll post the dorsal view, it's not a good photo btw, it's the cause that I haven't added the photo.

The upper surface could be Heath Fritillary but it is not distinctive. The under surface of the forewing has a distinctive spot according to my books and I didn't look carefully enough at my book because I noticed that most of the forewing was hidden and I mistakenly thought the spot was nead the body. However, looking again at my book and your original photo the black spot can be clearly seen in s2 just above the hind wing apex so this is definitely the butterfly I suggested.
As far as I know you can't change the question status more than 15 minutes after the first post.
