I came across this rather lovely minute 'papery bug sculpture'. Any idea what bug 'jumped out of its skin'? We know snakes slough or shed their skin. I had no idea bugs did as well. Or, is this just a case of a bug dried up in the heat of day?
My guess would be that's the cast off skin of a pentatomid bug, based particularly on the scalloped edge of the abdomen. See, as an example, -
