Black and white toadstool id ?

I know very little about fungi but I found this striking toadstool today. It looked so tidy having a dark grey cap and bright white gills and stem. No veil and no particular colouring where it had been split. Some time researching makes me think it is a Russula - I just wonder if there is enough in the photos to identify its species? It is under a beech tree with oaks nearby and plenty of shade. Plenty of others were around and bursting through but they were generally not in groups. The cap is a consistent dark grey with no hint of purple or green and its diameter is 10cm which could rule out quite a few of the smaller species - could it be Russula cyanoxantha? thanks Alan
