tree identification please

Can anyone help me identify this tree? The leaves are darker than the one in the photo which is already wilted

    Thanasis,

It is narrow leaved ash, Fraxinus angustifolia

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraxinus_angustifolia

It has brittle branches; perhaps that is the explanation for the gap in the crown on the right-hand side in your photo?

I would guess you see some decent colour on it in autumn?

It is fairly common in the UK.

It certainly has a grace which separates it from the common ash.

I guess you are from Greece. I have seen some fine trees in Greece, when I did some field work in Epirus in 1994. They included Ostyra carpinifolia, which (to reverse the situation) is a rare tree in the UK. I live in Cyprus now, so it is rare for me to see a narrow-leaved ash - so thanks for showing me your fine example.
