Spider ID - Raft Spider?

The attached picture was taken in my garden last July.  The pictures that I have found of Raft Spiders seem to tie in with this one's appearance, but it is quite small (it's sitting on a fuchsia leaf that is only 5-6cm long), and there are no ponds nearby!

Any ideas will be much appreciated.

It certainly looks like a young fimbriatus - it doesn't look right for Pisaura though it is variable in appearance. D fimbriatus is known to climb bushes etc. and wander away from pools. You say there are no ponds but is there a boggy area, or river, nearby? What part of the UK?
