Is this copper ore?

Last week I was walking near Coniston and found this rock on the ground. I broke it open and am interested to know if it's a piece of copper ore, which historically has been mined in the area?

I see quartz and pyrites. It is possible the pyrites is actually chalcopyrite (the copper-iron pyrites rather than the plain iron pyrites). I suspect the rusty brown matter may be decomposed chalco-/pyrites. So it might be reasonable to consider it copper ore.
