I have encountered these bugs in my bedroom for several years now. They are usually on the edges of the carpet by the skirting board, but today one was crawling up the wall. They are about 3mm long. I need to identify them so I can hopefully eradicate them. Any ideas please?
They look fairly typical carpet beetle larvae (Anthrenus sp.). If you have just a few it may be nothing to worry about (I find an occasional one in my house) but if you have lots then you ought to find out what they're eating.
yes these are carpet beetle, they do fly which is how they get around, however if you have been seeing them for a while on and off you will have them living there, to erradicate completely you need to break their life cycle.
