RustyGrasshopper in France

IMG_8314.JPGI took this photo in late July on the outskirts of a village surrounded by agricultural land. This was seen on several days close to the farmhouse I was stopping in but I can find no identification for it. Any help gratefully received. Pete

    It looks like a grasshopper of the family Pamphagidae, of which there is just one species in two sub-species in France.  I think it is probably Prionotropis hystrix azami, a final instar nymph.  The other sub-species P. h. rhodanica is confined to the district known as the Crau.
