Large moth ID?

I think this large and beautiful moth I photographed today is a Red Underwing moth but I'm not sure. Can a knowledgeable person please confirm or help me in identifying it? Thanks!

    Hi Jo,

I would say yes you have a Red Underwing here, the outer markings can be a bit similar between this family of moths, so its often a good idea to look at the underwing as those are different on each, but the Red Underwing has a less denated (wavy) sub terminal line.  That link explains the differences.

    Congrats on seeing this beauty!

      Nice photo.

      I concur with Crystal.

You don't say where you saw the moth... If outside the UK, there are additional species of red underwing.
