Fossil bone found on Thames Foreshore at Chiswick

We found this bone on the shores of the Thames at Chiswick today 8-8-2013

It's 180 mm long

It weighs 279 grams

The circumference around the top is 18 cm

The circumference around the mid point is 12.9 cm

The circumference around the lower end is 10 cm

It feels like stone and looks like a human tibia bone with ta hollow centre but it is definitely fossilzed.

My grandson Sam and I would be very grateful for any help in identification.  We wondered how long it takes for a bone to fossilize?

Many thanks for any help you can give us.
