Picked in Israel, from underneath a stone in a Eucalyptus grove.
I think it has to be Phasmatodea (stick insects)
But I can't ID the species; the thick knees and knobby antennae have me beat.
I think it's a stilt bug. Here is a list of ones (or some) that occur in Israel -
The Metacanthus ones look similar to yours, but you'll have to check them all out and see which is the most likely.
Stilt bug looks a good call.
