Tiny insects in bathroom

Hi! I was wondering if you guys could help me identify some tiny insects that I keep finding in my bathtub. Maybe once every couple of weeks, I find a dozen or so of them, apparently dead or dying, in the bathtub in the morning. They're only a couple of millimetres long. I've just been washing them away but I'm beginning to wonder how and why they're ending up there, and if I should be worried about them! Photos are attached - I'd be very grateful for any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

They normally infest strored food products such as flour, grains, sugar, dried legumes, beans and cerials etc.

Exactly what they're doing in your bath, I have no idea, unless you eat whilst bathing. : )

It may just be they are more visible when seen against the baths surface. Check around the house to see if they're elswhere.

They represent no threat to you, in so much as they don't bite. Check to see if they are in any stored grain or opened foodstuf in the kitchen or any room where food might be stored indoors. Remove any contaminated foodstuffs.

It's entirely possible you inadvertantly brought them home in contaminated food bought from a shop. The eggs are almost invisible.

If they are becomming a pest, then maybe get some professional help.
