found on 15/07/2013 in an urban garden Maidstone(Kent)
the body is 12-13mm long

This one of the Gelechiidae, either Metzneria lapella or M. metzneriella. I think it most likely to be the former but would prefer to see the specimen before making a definitive identification. Both are on the wing at the momemt.

For me, I think this moth may well be Blastobasis lacticolella due to the resting position of the head, being tucked right down, making the moth almost seed looking from above. Nice photos of it as well.
