A strange bug I found

I'm looking for some help and figured you were the best people to ask. These past few days I've been finding these bugs crawling on me, specifically whilst in my room (pic related).

There aren't any bite marks that I'm aware of, so it kind of rules out bed bugs and i haven't found any evidence of it being a bed bug on my bed. The only significant event I can think of to cause these to appear on me was when I took a tree down the same day I started spotting them.

Any help, or information would be appreciated.

    It looks like a mite.

There are lots of different ones, both vegetarian and carnivorous. They occur on lots of different plants/shrubs/trees, so there's a good chance you inadvertently 'collected' some during your lumberjacking operations. They may have moved from you to your room, and some of them may be moving back onto you, so it seems. If they aren't biting or otherwise causing problems (eg. rash), you're probably OK to ignore them; they should eventually die of starvtion, find their way outside again, or find a pot plant to their liking.
