What is this tree?

Can anyone tell me how to send a request for a tree ID, with a photo?
I am partially sighted and am having great difficulty in navigating this forum. Any help would be gratefully received:-)
Cheers

Diana
p.s. I think I've found the way, by scrolling the bottom of this page!

Does anyone know what this extraordinary tree is? I've included the photo with the parakeet, as it shows the seed pods of the tree!

    Re: What is this tree?

    Diana,

These are two different trees, surely?

    Photo 1:

The tree as a whole looks atypical because it has been hard pruned, and is now producing lots of new growth from the stumps. I'd suggest:

    - if you are in a part of the world warmer than the UK - a pepper tree (Schinus molle) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schinus_molle

    or

    - if you are in the UK or somewhere with a similar climate - weeping willow (Salix babylonica)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salix_babylonica.

    Photo 2:

I think it is a Chamaecyparis, perhaps C. lawsoniana (Lawson cypress or Port Orford cedar)

    Mike
