I don't think there is a fossil here.
I think the pale bands are probably veins or primary layers (probably of white quartz grains); I can't be sure from your photos (which are good, by the way). There is a chance the pale bands originated as fossils, eg. flattish bivalve shells or bryozoan mats, and have since been recrystallized, but I think it unlikely.
It all looks a bit strange and maybe a bit fossil-like because: a) there has been some deformation of the sediments; b) the pale veins/layers are harder than the rest so erosion has made them stand out somewhat.
I will go for the flattish bivalve, because what you only really see in the first image is that they seem to be joined at both ends. Hope this helps Mike, and thanks for the nice comment.
