Can someone help me identify this fly like bug?

There were a lot of these on my ceiling in my room, a hundred or more. They seem to not bite or anything, but are annoying as they land on my and fly in front of me frequently.

I live on the top floor (4th floor) of a student apartment complex in Nottingham if that might help.

- Has 2 wings, 6 legs, a Khaki(?) like color body with 3 distinct brown spots on the back. The body itself is about 1 to 1.5mm.
I don't know much about bugs but this is really bugging me!

Thanks in advance

Hello there. Upon chatting with my colleague, we think that it maybe a female Chironomid (a non-bitting midge). They generally hold their wings flat along their abdomen when at rest and the abdomen is mostly longer than the wings. They breed i stagnant water and immerge in large numbers but don't worry they are completey harmless
