I found this weed in a fallow field, I thought it was Cat's Ear but I think that the leaves are too verticle for that. Any other suggestions would be great as I am not having any luck finding an alternative. Sorry, the picture isnt the best.
Hello again, here's a bit more on your weed: Crepis is like Sonchus in that it has lobed leaves and latex but it does not have spines. I am not certain, but if it is a Crepis then to identify the species the stem leaf shape and the leaf hairs can be useful and also the colour of the latex! Crepis vesicaria has bluish-white latex, and often has a purplish leaf stalk, and red based hairs on the leaf midrib above (your photo is actually pretty good and shows these features). If you can verify these characters on your plant it will help confirm. The vegetative key by John Poland and Eric Clement is very good for this kind of ID.
