Plant found last summer

This was growing on a shady bank near the Grand Union Canal Tring in Hertfordshire. I have no idea what it is. It was just starting to fade when I photagraphed it.

    you have a chlorophyll-less twayblade orchid (Neottia nidus-avis). Several normally green woodland orchids which have a strong association with mycorrhizal fungi occasionally produce creamy chlorophyll-less individuals which survive by becoming rather more mycoparasitic than normal.
