Yes I agree, But surely if it is from the Wealden of Hastings then this is quite rare.
There actually were (Caypullisaurus, Maiaspondylus, and Platypterygius). But they were much less diverse than in previous Mesozoic eras and became extinct in the Cenomanian-Turonian extinction event.
i would immediatly assume that this is from an icthyosaur but see your local expert. i cant think what else it could have come from in early cretaceous strata.
