found this under a rock next to my pond, I pulled it off not knowing what it was. There is more left in place - but what is it?? The larve are green
This may be an old Bee Moth (Aphomia sociella) nest.
Note that they may be associated with wasps as well as bees.

I'm not sure its an old nest - I poked one of the cells and a green larvae came out. Would that still make it a bee moth?
Hi Just looked up the Bee moth nests on google and found a picture that really matched mine. I did have bees near the same place - would that have attracted them to the area? The bees left in the late summer.
