Two antique specimens

Two antique specimens with quite a lot of wear, but what are they?

I am sure somebody out there will able to help...

    These look like ivory which would make them teeth. There are a limited number of animals with ivory, these do not look fossil so mammoth is excluded and they are the wrong shape for sperm whale, elephant is the most likely. Given their size then I would favour asiatic elephant. Just a note of caution, there have been very many forgeries of ivory over the years, all made of plastic. If you heat a needle to red hot and touch the tooth (do it on the inside bit) if it melts it if fake, if it doesn't it is real. It may leave a small darkened area where tested.
