I've recently found in 2 rooms upstairs in my house hundreds of these tiny reddish brown bugs. At first they appear dead and are on their backs but eventually they move and a few of them fly. I've found them mostly on the widow sills and on my stuffed toys. I've had to throw one away as I found tiny little holes in it which I'm guessing is from my unwelcome guests! The teddy was a microwaveable scenes teddy. Has anyone got any idea what they could be and how I can get rid of them as they are making my skin crawl! I can't sleep at night as I think they are crawling all over me!! Thank you in advance!!
They look like biscuit beetle to me. They feed on stored products. I guess your teddy must of had some edible stuff in it like rice. Throw it away (which I'm sure you have by now) and use an insecticide spray from a wilkos or B&Q that is specific for crawling insects. Also make sure it has residual properties. Treat cracks and crevices in the affected room.
