It's been suggested that the panda, which eats almost exclusively bamboo (to which its digestive system is poorly adapted) and which is dangerously shy in the bedroom department, is a waste of conservation money and should just be left alone to die out.
What do you think? Is the panda too symbolically important not to be saved? Or should we move on to something less cute, but more important to the biodiversity of our planet?
