I’m struggling to ID this snail that I have found – any help is much appreciated. I was erring towards Menetus dilatatus but not entirely sure. It seems to have some sort of projections on it (it doesn’t seem to be a fungus). Size is about 1-2mm
With that transparent, hairy shell, it could be something like Trichia (Trochulus) or similar species in the Hygromiidae. Where did you find it? Do you have photos with top views of the shell?
Here is a picture of the shell from the top. The snail was found in a benthic kick sample from a river in East Lothian, Scotland.
