ID of this find would be appreciated.

Hello,

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could identify this recent find from the foreshore near Hamstead Isle of Wight for me please. To me it does not look like a Diplocynodon skull because of the smooth underside - more like some kind of frog perhaps......??  Apologies for the quality of the photos and if they are very large files - I do not know how to resize them !!!

Kind regards

Steve B.

    Image resizing:

I use Image Resizer (http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/), and have been doing so for over a year, no probs.

There are many out there, but I like this one because it allows custom pixel dimensions, and it remembers what you set. (Many fora require photos to be of a certain size, or up to a certain size, measured in pixels. So if posting often, remembering that custom setting can be very useful.)

Other features to look for in an image resizer:

    - input format (all of JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF would be good)

    - output format (JPEG is usually OK)

    - compression ratio (so you can reduce the file size for any given pixel dimensions, though sacrificing some sharpness)

    - colour depth (sometimes colour is not relevant (ed. pages of text from a book), in which case you should be able to reduce file size by almost 70% by saving as greyscale)
