I found this bone in my back yard in the same place that I found almost a whole raccoon skeleton scattered. It's a vertebrae I think, but too big to be a deer, could it possibly be from a bobcat or bear?
It is a mammal pelvis (the two pelvic bones, or 'os coxa'). It's too small for a bear or a deer. The best match I could find among American mammals is badger (bothf size and shape). Definitely not skunk.
I hope this helps.
PS: I have prepared an image of badger pelvis side-by-side with your specimen, but the upload image button doesn't work. Maybe later.
