Hello we are new to this so we hope someone can help,we found lots of bones on the beach at lowestoft suffolk yesterday, and we would like some help identifyiny the odd shaped bone, which we think is a back bone of some sort, many thanks Abbie and Asthon.
Photo 2068 shows a sea worn ulna and radius from just below the elbow, probably from a horse. In a cow the ulna extend to the wrist where as in the horse is gets thinner and thinner and disappears before the wrist, although it is worn this appears to be the pattern here. Photo 2067 and 2070 are both vertebra, I assume the same vertebra from two different angles. Given the size I initially suspected a whale or large dolphin vertebra BUT there are some subtle features which I cannot match to any species. Mammoth would be of this size but I have no pictures to compare against.
