Hey guys, I found this bone while digging in my uncles front yard. Under aprox 1m of coal waste (his yard is on top an old coal mine). Now I found this along with lots of fragments of plates, next to a vanician outdoor path, which suggests its not that old? Anyway I have no clue what it is, if looks partially carved however, that may just be me thinking crazy things.
This is the lower end of a sheep metacarpal bone, in posterior view. The metacarpals are the bones that make up the palm in humans, and the lower half of the foreleg in sheep and other animals. It shows a cut mark, proving it was butchered.
