Hi, my wife and I recently moved into a new property and I noticed there were tiny black "marks" on almost every wall in the house, on cupboards, on ceilings - literally everywhere in every room - they're roughly 1mm long and about as wide as a hair, if it wasn't for the fact that I'd seen so many in different rooms I'd never have realised they were bugs. I've searched all over Google and can't seem to find any identical images so I'm at a bit of a loss at the moment, my wife is completely freaked out by them. To make things worse the only reason we moved from our previous property was because of an infestation of completely different bugs.
Can anyone help me identify these please? So I can start to work on getting rid of them, any help would be appreciated.
From what i can discern from the images those are thrips (Thysanoptera). Normally they are outdoor dwellers (most live on plants, some can be pests on crops, but a few are carnivores) and can be extremely abundant when swarming and then occur "everywhere".
