I spotted this washed up on the beach today and I can't identify it - it's got piranha-like teeth and a fin like a dolphin and it's approx. 4ft long. Any help with this would be gratefully appreciated - I hate mysteries!
From the teeth i would say it is almost certainly a cetacean, given the damage it's difficult to say for sure but i would suggest a harbour porpoise.
I agree with Karmalite, it looks like a Harbour Porpoise.
The dorsal fin in this species is small and triangular in shape, and has a slight dorsal ridge extending back from the fin to the tail flukes, which are missing in your specimen.
