Can anyone help ID a spider for me?

I believe I found a False Widow spider in my house in Liverpool yesterday, I no longer have the spider in question but I did snap a few pics of it. My Mum is really phobic of spiders and this has really shaken her. I am unsure whether I need to report it to anyone or if there are any special precautions I need to take? :-/ Any advice offered would be greatly appreciated :-)

Kind regards,

    Hi Aitch,

Relax, that is a missing sector orb weaver (Zygiella x-notata), very common around windows, car wing mirrors etc. & totally harmless. I think they're pretty cute. When you see them being preyed upon by Daddy long legs (Pholcus phalangioides) they seem a whole lot less scary! ;-)

    Regards, Mark.
