I found this fly at a local nature reserve on June 13th this year, it is unlike anything I know, can anyone identify it?
To me this thing could belong in Conopidae - or somewhere else.

Almost certainly Sicus ferrugineus - there is a much rarer alternative that looks similar but S.ferrugineus is very common in areas where you find bumblebees
