Small Felid Skull Identification Help

Hey guys, newbie here.

I own a skull of small felid, and have always dismissed it as a mere feral cat skull. However, when looking around a University that had on display a domestic cat skeleton I noticed the difference between it's skull and the one I own. I looked at a few more and found similar differences, which has lead to me to doubt mine is a feral cat at all.
For a start mine is larger - by roughly 1/4 of the size of a domestic cat skull. It also has larger orbital bones, longer canine teeth and is a somewhat different shape.

Please help me to identify the skull, is it something wilder or just an impressive specimen of Felis Catus?
