Please can you help me identify this tree?

    Hi,

    your tree is a Tilia (Lime) species.

    It is likely to either be the Broad-leaved Lime, Tilia platyphyllos or the Common Lime, Tilia x europea.

    To distinguish between them you would need to look at the underside of a leaf. If it has hairs, especially on the veins then it is the former. If there a few hairs only where the veins branch then it is the latter.
